Introducing Solomon ... - 03-13-2007, 09:54 AM

You know, I am not really the kind of guy that enjoys surprises. At all.

But this past weekend when I go to the farm No Name and Wildcrotch had a surprise waiting for me. And you know, I am ok with that. This one time.

His name is Solomon and he is a 20 month old Percheron. And even though he is still a pony he is huge. He stands about 5'-4" at the shoulders and weighs over a thousand pounds! Oh and get this: he was born on the fourth of July.

He is going to grow up to be massive and he is already starting to dabble out. So by the time he is ready to ride in a year or so he will be well on his way to being a charcoal grey/white.

I can't tell you people how excited I am over my new horse. Pilot is still my number one horse but the prospect of having my very own horse to ride is exciting. And a Percheron!

Prophet out.

Curt, Congratulations on the new member of the family! He is beautiful. Please post more photos and some with people or some reference so we can see how big he is and watch him grow!

Thanks for the website. The history about Percheron horses was a very interesting read.

Nice horse. Congrats. But as a prophet, I'm surprised that you admit to ever being surprised. (But then I guess horses are still analog, for the most part.)

Thank you for all your kind words. Solomon is turning out to be a really sweet horse and I can see us having a long life together. Pilot is a bit more jealous than Pika. But Pika is also a bit more lazy than Pilot.

Janet, PM me some time and we will see about getting you out to the farm.

Prophet out.
