Thumbs up Hit and run driver Owned by forum and photographer. - 03-14-2007, 03:57 AM

"On a local car forum a member made a thread warning Calgarians to be on a look out for a silver Acura RSX that was involved in a hit and run. A couple post later, another member posted pictures they managed to snap of the accused with their new camera with a huge lens.

You've got to scroll down a bit to see the pictures that this guy took. There are 3 of them, the middle showing the black Mercedes that the kid hit.

Someone posted about that here a couple of days ago.. I never heard what the ultimate outcome was though.. Did the police get copies, etc.. That thread pretty much turned into a Photoshop contest after awhile.

Very interesting...

Turns out the kids mother made him go in and confess to the crime. The photos where mearly used for the plate number because everyone at the scene had only gotten glimpses of it and nothing matched. Also to prove that the car was not stolen. Pictures put the kid in the car, driving. No getting out of that one.

I take my camera with me everywhere I go. It is allways in the car for those moments where you will kick yourself for not having it. Especially if you where to get hit. Having a good camera to prove who hit who and what damage was caused can save you a lot of money and possibly from going to court.
