What should I be aware of? I don't even know what questions to ask advice about so any advice will be helpful ...

thanks!

Where will you be exhibiting your photos?

I make sure to mat my photos with 4 ply front and 2 ply back archival mats.

Do they wish for them to be in frames?

How much wall space or exhibit space will you have? How will they be hung? How will they be mounted or how does the exhibitor expect them to be mounted? Who pays for mounting? Who does the hanging? Will you be allowed to determine in what sequence and relationship the prints are hung in? Who takes them down? Who's responsible for damage while they are hung?

Those are good things to ask and have very little to do with Photos but a lot with an exhibit.

Deep Ellum and the details will be discussed tomorrow. I just want to get a heads up on what to ask.

Thanks for your help!

Thanks, Stovall! I appreciate the questions to consider. I will be discussing the details tomorrow and I will be viewing the space as well.

Deep Ellum is a myriad of possibilities, are we talking about 500X, Art Prostitute, The Continental Lofts, the new gallery opened by Frank Campagna, or just space in a bar, etc?

Is this going to be just up for a few days? Weeks?

Is it purely a gallery or exhibition space that is in common areas of one of the lofts?

As stated above how they they want them mounted? What size prints are they wanting?

Can you get gallery sales if someone wishes to buy a piece?

Do they want just your work or is your work just part of a larger show?
