Some of the recent discussions in Photo Tips and elsewhere at TPF prompted me to write this.
Since a pissiness front (probably from up north) seems to be blowing through Texas, it might be a good time to remember that not everyone here is a pro, or even wants to be someday.
Not only are there a full range of skill levels and equipment levels, there are also people who are trying hard within a limited budget and folks who just want to get a little better--not become "perfect" with one question.
Tempers seem short lately, so maybe we can all agree to think before we slam.
Fighting amongst the people answering a simple question is pointless and goes off-topic fast.
Film snobs and DSLR snobs and digicam snobs are all snobs, and nobody likes them. Trying to figure out where a questioner is coming from and wants to go takes only a few moments. Don't impress your own agenda on your answers.
BTW, I'm guilty of the above behavior at times myself, which is why I'm not allowed to throw the first stone. The 3rd one is mine, however.
The wildflowers are coming up all over the place, so lets all play nice and think before we stink up the joint.
Or not. I don't really care.
The internet is such a bore these days...so many monkeys, so little Shakespeare. |
