On a scale of 1-10?????
OK, I finally got around to calibrating the Dell and it was fast and easy.
Calibrated to gamma 2.2
No dead or burned pixels.
Good black point.
Good range of contrast and brightness.
I can differentiate between all 33 grayscale patches on the chart I used.
Color is close to spot on against a 24 patch Gretag Macbeth Color Checker.

I would say it is at least 8 or 9. There is always something better.

I just calibrated mine as well, and the colors, contrast, etc. look really good. However, the display does not appear to be evenly lit with the light falling off from bottom to top, which is rather strange. Looks like an exchange is in order.

I bought that monitor a couple of weeks ago. had to get a different graphics card though to match up with the native resolution for it........just noticed it is $279 now on Dells website...... I really like the extra room for palletes in photoshop.

It is roomy. I drag the pallets and other menus to a 20.5" Dell and use the whole screen for image editing. The 24" must feel gigantic.

I'm still trying to figure out what to do with all this room. It's like having a big, new house but not enough furniture.
