Has anyone ever been to the Forbidden Gardens in Katy, TX(outside Houston)? It looks like an interesting place to take some pics.

Yep.
Do a search in the Houston area of this forum. We had a get together there about a year ago, and several pics were posted.

It's OK, but a bit disappointing (especially for the costs). It was previously hit hard by vandals and they never really fixed/cleaned it up (aside from making all tours now in groups guided format).

The place needs a serious cleaning: the small villages/building were covered with dust and cobwebs. I assume with pollen season right now, it's going to be extra covered. Also alot of the miniatures were broken or knocked over.

Thanks all, this is good to know, I wouldn't want to drive down there and be disappointed! How about the Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge in Sherman, any good?
