Mac VS PC (or both)...vote now! - 03-30-2007, 04:56 PM

I'm just curious about the number of Mac users VS PC Users. This isn't to start a debate whether one is better than the other...I'm just curious about the users on TPF. I split my time between my dying PC and my Mac. Unfortuantely, I might have to build a Vista machine to run my AutoCad programs but we'll see if one of my future Macs will be able to run this without a hitch as far as drivers and such.

Mailer-Daemon is evil haha!

I didn't understand the last line...that part is greek to me but the rest sound like fun stuff. I love my mac though. Now I understand Macs are all about keyboard shortcuts and what not.

...haha. Try doing network admin and other miscellaneous PC work for a combined 15 years only to change industries and have a Mac thrown at you (pleasant surprise actually) and expect to use one. That's where I stood and welp, I'm actually grateful. Both PC and Macs have their strong points. I just like how Macs handle multimedia cause that is where I am partially headed...the other part being PC will be a grueling summer for me learning autocad.

Up until yesterday I would see this and raise you HP/ux, AIX and zOS. I guess starting Monday it'll just be PC and Linux :-)

Ever edit sendmail.cf?

VxWorks, OS-9, pSOS, and Nucleus are all embedded real time operating systems. I started writing device drivers and porting (making the OS work on custom hardware) on 68000 processors back in the early 80's. I still have all my μprocessor data books on the shelf :super geek:

There's no choice for 50/50. That is pretty much where I fall right now. Slowly working my way to <start Darth Vader voice here> "The Mac Side".

I have used Windows, Linux and a Mac. I now spend almost 100% of my time on a Mac. (and won't probably ever go back)!

Just recently switched to Mac... main computer is a Mac Pro, but my old PC is still on my home network in case I need it for something.

Hrm.. alt names, procmail, etc...no I never edit sendmail.cf

I don't think in hexadecimal...however I used to think in ascii haha.

My first computer... bless the 8086, then a 486DX-33 then a Pentium 133. Fast forward many years to a P4-2.4GHz HT and a Macbook Pro...I'm a happy camper. if I have a mac pro, I'd be an uber happy camper.
