Missing Digits ...

So there I am driving to work this morning at 3:30 in the frickin' morning (but that is another post) and I saw something that just drives me insane. I mean in the figurative manner, not the Driving Ms. Daisy manner.

Gas stations with missing numbers on the sign.



WTF?!?!? I am paying $40+ a tank you and damn people can't go buy some plastic letters? Now I mean if this things were made from like dinosaur eyelids and thus a product that was both rare and expensive ... well that would be different. Especially if it were the case in conjunction with gas prices that were like $1.

Then I would drive by in my car and say "damn man, that place only has one number '4' and had to hire some high school kid to walk like an egyptian to finish the price. Poor guys. I think I'll go buy gas from them."

But that isn't the case. It's frickin' plastic you cheap bastages. Crack the money belt open you tightwads. I mean I practically have to fill out a loan application just to have gas for the week. You can't tell me these people can't go and buy some extra 5's.

I just don't believe it. I won't. I am offended by this lack of price apurtenances. I demand that if you finish the price correctly! And none of that "use a 'S' for a '5' because they sort of look the same" crap. I want a damn "5"! And I want it now.

Or I will go somewhere that has enough 5's so that I can accurately guage the degree to which I will get screwed at the pump before I pull up and actually have to undo my belt.

Oh and if you think I just compain here about it ... well you would be wrong.

If I have time and need gas I will stop an offending station and go in that TELL them that I will not buy gas from them until they complete thier sign. Oh and if they get pissy I can get irrate!

I demand that I be heard. I demand at least some form common courtesy in the reaming that I recieve at the gas station. If I am going to pay $3 a gallon then the least they can do is state it clearly and correctly on the damn sign.

And don't even get me started about pumps that say they print the reciepts but never do.

Well I hate Walmarts prices. Man the price they advertise is the price using the Walmart card. If you use a regular CC or Debit card it is actually 3 cents more. Ba***rds

The opposite ticks me off...pumps that automatically print receipts. I don't keep them, and I don't want to have to wait while you print out trash that I don't want anybody else to get ahold of in the off-chance that there just might be enough personal information on there for somebody to do some harm.

BTW, there was an article in the paper a good while back, that with gas going so high, there was a shortage of "numbers" because the Mfg's. didnt produce enough of each with the new prices.
