Bull Run - 04-03-2007, 10:36 PM

How many of you are staying up wuth Bull run? Who's your favorite team and who's your least favorite?

I can't help but like the F-150 since they're from Texas but the 57 Chevy team is my favorite. To bad the 57 Chevy team will probaly be eliminated next week because of their poor navigation skills. Out of all the teams they are the most laidback and you never see them bickering and fighting like all the others, well except for team TransAm.

The teams I dislike? All the others! I was glad to see team Lambo go and I wish it would be team Lotus next but they're not doing to bad. Out of all the cars the Lotus should be shinning but the good ol F-150 keeps beating them out. Team charger has got the horse power but I don't give them much longer before they start knocking heads and it screws them up.

I put the team TransAm up there with the best chance of winning. They know their car and the father, daughter team seems to work well together without much fighting. Spend that much time in a car with someone and you had better be a forgiving person or really love them, or both.

So let's hear what the rest of you motor heads think.

I can't say I really *like* any of the teams. I do agree with the transam having a great chance of winning since they seem to be playing the game the best right now. Is it just me or did they go out of their way to find really stereotypical people?

It looks like they tried to find the biggest jerks on the planet, but hey producers know that's what sells today. The only thing I don't like about the team TransAm is how they double crossed team F-150 last week when they teamed up with team Lotus to make sure the Ford team didn't come in first or second again, but then again it's a race so it's really each team for themself.

I can't believe there's not more people watching. Well at least there's one other motorhead.
Anyone know when the the new show Drive is coming on? last month they kept saying coming next month to Fox and the other last night they said coming next month? I thought it was suppose to be around the 19th of this month but it doesn't show it coming on.

Citing the show's "tight production schedule," FOX will wrap "Drive's" upcoming five-week/six-episode run on Monday, May 7 with the remaining installments of its initial 13-episode order then airing at a later date.

Premieres: April 15, 2007

well, I think the Trans-am, Lotus, and F150 are the best fit to win the competition. However, the Lotus team can't seem to get along. I would be pretty pissy ina car that size for that long too though.

I'm glad someone's talking about it, Who else saw the BMW guy doing donuts? After he won his challenge he did donuts. He is an IDIOT. He thought his engine was gone, and then he said "Maybe the BMW electronics are smart enough to keep the car from ruining itself". MORON. If you notice (you can re-watch the episode on spiketv's website), as he is finishing the donuts he winds up going backwards. This resembles a cop car PIT'ing you. (if you know the term). It spins you out, and your forward momentum keeps you going that direction while the car is facing backwards. This STALLS the engine. In order for most enginges to Start again you have to push the vehicle. Hence why after they pushed it abck, it started. He then thought he needed to baby the car.

Don't get me wrong, he caused damage to his transmission, but it is by no means "blown".

I can't believe a guy would own a car like that...not know anything about it, or racing, and enter a race like that.

Anyone else pick up on that stupid little part?

I was thinking the exact same thing, Rahb! The whole time he was saying "I'm an idiot!"

I agreed with him!

I thought it was funny how the F-150 beat the Lambo in the slalom!

lol yeah, i think the lambo could have won if he would not have turned the traction cotrol off? what was he thinking........that sliding the ass end would help? Isn't that why they put traction control on the thing? lol

I haven't messed with a BMW, parts are to expensive, but most cars today do have a high temp shutdown built in to protect the engine. I figured with him turning the high RPM's and had it to the floor and against the rev limiter the whole time, that he over heated the cooling system. My wifes old Concord had the protection built in and it saved the motor when the water pump went out. She said the car just died and after about fifteen minute it started and she made it about four miles before it died again, the another three or four miles, and again until she made it home. The temp gauge never showed hot because there was no water for the probe to be submerged in so it wouldn't read correct. I couldn't believe Chrysler was so smart to put the water pump inside the engine, when it went out it dumped all the water into the oil pan! Luckly there wasn't any internal damage and all I had to do was strip the whole front of the car and replace the water pump and thermostat. The V10 in my Excursion would actually shut down two cylinders and if the temp went up more it would shut the engine down, gave you a slight chance of making it somewhere to get it fixed.

Talk about looking like an idiot! Win the challangewith the best time and then screw up because he acted like a fool! What was his final time, something like 48 minutes?

The only other team that was as much of an idiot was the lambo team. How much damage did he say he had suffered, $60,000 wasn't it?

I don't know aht the rules are for the competition but ti looks like someone would have had the common since to mount oversized gas tanks in their vehicles, if it is allowed. I know the F150 can get a tank that holds 45 gals, a lot better than the standard 21 to 22 gals you can squeze in them. I'm sure they wouldn't allow a aux tank in the bed, heck if they allowed those they could carry 100 gals easily.

Who do you think will be eliminated next? Hate to say it but I would bet money it will be the 57 chevy team. I hope not because I like their atitude, laid back and don't seem to get excited or upset but much.

Oh yeah, Drive comes on the 15th of this month, next Sunday is it's 2 hour premeir

Drives going to be interresting to see what type of stuff they have the contestants do, I like the way the mom in the mini van got the blonde out of the SUV but didn't shoot her, they never actually said she had to kil her but just make sure she wasn't in the SUV at the end of the run.

I want to see what Team F-150 does to team Lotus tonight. Looks like they might have turned them into the cops. I don't care for snitches but I can't stand Team Lotus and they have pulled crap on Team F-150 so maybe they just got what was coming to them. Hey it's a race anyway and 200 grand is on the line. Like they say "all's fair in love and war" and the race is a war with the victor getting the money.

Well, they only turned them into Bullrun for speeding. Hell, they new there were penalties for speeding. They just want to cry cause they got caught. That scene in the dome was stupid. Lotus should be ejected for getting in his face and all. I don't see anything wrong with what they did. They didn't break a rule doing it, so they jsut caught pissed cause they got caught. People with that "I do as I please" attitude deserve what they get. I agree though, team lotus has a piss poor attitude. I want them out more than any of the other teams. One of them is a stuck up rich kid, and the other one thinks that since he was in the Marines he is above the other guys.

My 2 cents.

(however, if they had turned them into the cops...now THAT would have been a bitch move. But turning them in for "cheating" to the actual host sounds like a tactic to me.)

I liked the way Team F-150 handled the challenge, the hell with the truck full speed ahead!!! To ad they didn't win it. I also like the look on the Latus teams face when the truck was still able to compete, wonder if the Lotus could have competed if it had went throught the wall. The truck did good but I knew they didn't have a chance at beating the Lotus in that challenge. Yea the Lotus team are spoiled brats and have the worst attitude but the Honda team isn't far behind them and then you have the Olds team tagging right along... I hated to see Team Chevy go, they had the best attitude of all the teams. Even when they were elliminated they still had a good attitude.

Who do you think will be the next to go? I'm beating on team Honda, they can't seem to stop the fighting between themselves. The Olds team hadn't been doing to good until last night, now lets see if they can keep it up. One thing that wil help team F-150 again and hurt the others is that the runs will be getting longer again and they get better mileage than Team Charger and Olds plus they have a larger tank than all of them.

Has anyone checked out the Bull Run from Canada to Florida?

I just watched the last bullrun from last week and i think it was pretty pathetic to film them for speeding, that takes the fun out of what a "bullrun" should be about.

Team Honda is gone!!! One import left in the race and it would have to be Team Lotus. Don't get me wrong, the Lotus is the best car in the race as far as performance goes, can even out perform the Lambo when you combine all aspects. But I can't stand the Lotus team members.
I can't see anything wrong with filming the Lotus and Honda speeding. The rules say you can not speed and they were. the show is not a top speed race like on the show Drive but more of a ralley race. If all the other teams are following the rules and team Lotus and Honda were allowed to speed then the other teams would have no chance of winning. The whole idea of the race is to put the drivers and navigators ability to the test while also testing the cars reliability. At the end of the legs they have a chance to put their cars performance to the test in the challenges. What I didin't like was the way Team F150 lied about turning them in. They should have owned up to it or said nothing at all.
Well after last night the Texas boys are still doing good even though they have drop a spot or two but still safe for now
Who's leaving next week??? I think team Transam and team Charger are pretty safe. Team F150 had better be watching out because team Lotus is gunning for them and if they fall behind team Lotus is going to put them in a challenge against a someone who could eliminate them. Team Olds is doing better and not fighting as much so it's hard to say for me. I did see where team lotus placed low in a leg on purpose just so they could get in a challenge. This could work for them since the Lotus is a great performer and can beat any of the other cars in a challenge, that is if the driver doesn't screw up which could hurt them.
Yep! I'm hooked on the show.
