Did you use studio lights or flash?

I was asked to shoot a college graduation and need some guidance.
Thanks

Are you covering just the ceremony or will you be shooting as they cross the stage to get the degree?
If you are getting the degree shot with the Dean, then see if you can get a look at the location before hand - maybe attend the rehearsal. Check and see how close to the stage you need to be and you will probably need an off camera flash to elimate shadows. Make sure you have an assistant to help with card changes and setup. Keep track of the names as they cross the stage. Often the names in the program don't all show up. How are they paying for the iamges? are they paying up front or will they pay online afterward?

I will be shooting the hand shake, diploma with Dean. I remember someone posted a while back that they had sucess with two studio lights.

I have the package selection down, just need to get an idea on the lighting.
