Ideas needed for Band cover shot-location etc! - 04-07-2007, 04:05 PM

Hello! I think this is the right place to post this question. I have a friends band that is looking for me to do some shots for thier website and maybe a CD! They are a pretty popular local band called Siren City !The lead guitarist teaches out of my music store. They are looking for something dark and grundgie! From thier words, they want a look of a dark city thats there but not really! Go fugure! Why does it seem that all my first gigs are the worst case senerio's! I was looking for maybe some Dallas locations of old factory settings, Loading dock looking places! Actualy Leslie has a few great shots on her pbase site, maybe she will devulge, lol! I also need some ideas towards type of shot! I was thinking B&W and they like that idea, also I showed them this site and some of the Infrared stuff, they loved that look (of course)! I think infrared would be cool also, but they would have to be real still for minimum 8-10 sec! Not easy! Please any suggestions would be awesome! If I pull this off, it could lead to more stuff simular and I would like to nail this for some exsposure! Thanks ahead of time. You all have been so helpful to me, words cannot explain!

What about some alleys, like down at the Stockyards. Or the old abandoned buildings around there.
I wonder if Deep Ellum area has any alleys?
It's 110 miles away, but spots in downtown Wichita Falls, on a weekend, might fit what you want.
