I'm sooo disappointed in myself! - 04-10-2007, 09:31 PM

So the husband and I are sitting on the couch tonight hanging out when we heard a big thud in the fireplace. Nope, it wasn't Santa Claus! It was a squirrel. My husband wanted to have a new pet, but I put my foot down . Superman husband however thinks ... oh, we can get it out! So... much to my dismay (no, I'm not very adventurous), here we go. With blanket and this huge bin in hand we go to open the doors, my hands are shaking thinking that I'm going to drop the bin and it's going to take off through the house destroying everything but wouldn't you know it... the little devil hid. It looked sooo scared and sounded really mad so I talked him into just closing the doors and leaving it to the professionals! I called animal control and wouldn't you know, it took that woman a total of less than 5 minutes to catch it (she had a glove on up to her elbow), put it in a cage and she was gone. So why am I disappointed you ask? I DIDN'T GET ANY PICTURES ! What's up with that? I must say, it was quite a humorous evening, wish I could've shared the pictures! I took some through the doors before we got too brave but that side of the room is pretty dark so they aren't very clear.

I'm pretty disappointed in you too! Glad no one died or anything though!

I think you'll be OK, they have a thin candy shell. I'm surprised you didn't know that.

That's what makes it worse Heather.... Chris kept saying, "go get your camera" but all I could think about was her dropping that thing and it taking off through my house. lol
