Could it be PF? That would be prima facie, or "on its first appearance". See the link. Basically you have the burden of proof to refute the charge. In other words, you're screwed.

nope, it definitely reads FP, not PF. Next is either a checkmark or a V, but the more I look at it, the more it looks like a checkmark. I'd thought about using the distance/angle thing with showing that at the 700+ foot distance he says he got me at that even a 0.5 degree movement of his laser could throw his target off by several feet...possibly causing a false speed reading. I saw video of a cop acurately clocking someone at about 1000 feet. My defense quickly ran out the door.

I've been doing a LOT of research, and I think I have an idea on how to get thru this. I can't wait for examination. The officers were using private property to set up their speed trap. I spoke to people at the business and they don't think the property owner has granted access for the use of his property by the police dept. I'm waiting on the owner's call back to confirm this.

good luck, your best hope is that they dismiss for court costs, which will happen to equal the speeding fine......

Maybe it signifies that you have a Front license Plate?

Also stands for Ford Performance Vehicle in Australian Police Terminology.

Has absolutely nothing to do with taxes which I am supposed to be focused on at the moment but best of luck with beating the ticket.

Were you speeding? If so, buck up and take it. Now, that doesn't mean you have to simply pay the fine .. since you're going to court anyway .. just tell the judge you know you were speeding and just don't want it to go against your insurance. More than likely, he/she'll have you pay the fine and put you on six month's "probation". Go six months with no tickets and it disappears from your record.

Too often people are unwilling to go in front of a judge over a speeding ticket, so they just pay the fine, then have to pay again and again with higher insurance, or maybe get 2 more over a 3 year period then your points go up, etc .. judges are people too, and any time I've been in court, have been treated very well by them. And I kinda sorta have a lead foot. :o

i recently got a ticket for 84 in a 60 on 75 (central) and since i'm 20 i had two options.. i chose to pay the $103 (two days ago) and take defensive driving. which is in the process.

We have a couple of Police here I believe, hopefully they'll chime in.

Man, I have no idea. Each of us has a different method of scribbling notes on a citation so that we may remember the incident when/if it goes to trial. There's no set way to make notation, to my knowledge.

For instance, "V E/B WESTH -> S/B CROCK, P N/B CROCK" to me is "violator eastbound Westheimer turning to southbound Chimney Rock, police unit northbound Chimney Rock."

Another officer may have a totally different way to make the notation. What you don't want is a circle with a dot in the middle. No, its not the international symbol for "donut." It means "a**hole" and you're guaranteed a fight.

I'll ask around about "FPV." Could mean "false positive check."

Sorry but I have to ask,
Did anyone hear about that robbery at the police station last night?
Vandals broke in and stole all the cammodes from the bathrooms!
A spokesman for the police said there were no suspects and they did not have anything to go on.

Probably it means "Fashion Photographer Vehicle" if you shoot fashion/glamour.

Maybe you should slow down. most everyone gives you 10 over, unless your in a school zone, then your toast.
