If I was in need of an honest job, love photography but lacking/seeking experience and no other options available... sure! Why not?

I agree with Paulo. If I were young and just beginning my interest in photography I would consider it. But at this point in my life (and my photography life) I'd parallel it to flippin burgers and makin shakes.

I hear ya. My first paying job at 15 was doing the same at Dairy Queen @ $2.25/hr., but that was only because my friend worked there. I would have taken the photography job over that.

Some of the best training I ever received was the year I worked for a church directory company. I learned how to deal with all sorts of people and put them at ease in only a couple of minutes. I learned how to pose very quickly and how to get great expressions in a short period of time. We usually booked five families per hour so you had to be quick. My record was photographing an entire country church (72 families) in one Sunday afternoon and evening.
