IE 7 is ticking me off - 04-14-2007, 07:30 AM

I'm not a very fast adopter of new stuff - especially when it comes from Microsoft, but IE 7 has been out for a little while now and several people that I know and respect have been using it without problems. So, I took the plunge a couple of days ago. Overall it's okay, but here on the forums it's behaving weird. If someone posts a thread with different sized images IE will truncate the text at the right border of the widest image. Doesn't happen in Firefox, and didn't happen with IE 6. Grrrr......

Anyone see this and know how to fix it?

I haven't seen that, but are you running windows with large fonts? That creates all sorts of formatting problems in some browsers<g>

I don't like IE7 either. I don't like the interface. I use Opera also (never liked FF either, so you know I'm picky<g>) and it works nicely for me but there are some things that it has problems with - certain active-x components, etc.

Best regards,

Make sure you're using the "satellite liquid" forum skin. "satellite fixed" doesn't work very well.

THAT DID IT! Thanks, Jeff! I don't think I ever even saw that option down there.

Wow! This is mucho better!

I like to use the "full screen" ....gives me a lot of room.....just wish there was a way to get rid of the tabs. I dont use them.

There is. Go Tools > Internet Options, and on the "General" tab there's an option at the bottom for changing the way Tabbed Browsing works. Click the Settings button, and remove the check mark from "Enable Tabbed Browsing." Then restart IE.
