I almost always wear black slacks and some sort of button down shirt, black comfy shoes.
Beach weddings, khakis and flip-flops so I can be barefoot during the ceremony (change of shoes for reception if it's not on the beach)
The only photo I have of me in action was when I was preggo...no thanks! LOL

Thanks Gina! I am only asking this so I can get an Idea what I may need to have on hand for my first wedding shoot or if I ever do a second shooter deal! I am not wanting to see photos of photographers for the kicks, lol!

I dress according to my most comfy shoes. That is the most important.
Other then that (for a girl) black pants with dress top. Top is depending on how dressy the wedding is.

Here's an image Miguel(mramos) took of me, Jordan(redmouse) & Shawn (dowxp) just before the start of a wedding event we were assisting him with. http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum...t=31882&page=6
For me, always: blacks slacks, black long or short sleeve dress shirt, & comfortable black shoes(boots)

See! This is why I asked this. It seems to be differn't for everyone. I have always thought that a suit would work, but in the Texas heat no way! The tux , is that common Henry ? I own one but do not want to wear in the hot summer! Thanks for the input, keep them comming. This could be very interesting.

A tux, wow! Well, I wouldn't have a problem wearing one if an event came up that required it. Just never my first choice. My wife has a hard enough time getting me to wear a suit. I did wear a tux for my own wedding though. :)

I assisted most of last year and my observance is that it pretty much depends on how formal the event you're covering is. On and off, my mentor would wear a suit jacket. Black, dark grey or dark blue was very common and it allowed the shooters to blend right in with the guests. I have yet to do a beach-type venue but I imagine if the bridal party and guests were all wearing light colored khakis and white shirts, the everything black would stand out.
It just depends on your event.

Depends on what the client expects. Some people (depending on the event) expect vendors to dress appropriately. In some cases, I wear suits (but the jacket gets removed after a period of time). Others, especially when second shooting with a particular photog...there is pretty much a standard...black/black.. (slacks and shirt). All of the shooters match.
That is me. | | | |

My photographer wore a tux. For a formal wedding, I usually wear some evening pants, with low heeled, but dressy shoes and a tux jacket. I have several different tops that I can wear under the tux jacket - just depends on season, etc.
