You probably have most of this stuff on your list but here is mine for a one week trip.

-Backpack (greater than 5000 C.I. for that length of time)
-Sleeping bag (synthetic for this time of year)
-Bivy sack or tent
-Ground cloth
-Sleeping pad
-Water bladders (1.5 gal per day) or 3 liter bladder and 1 liter bottle + filter if you know filterable water sources are available
-Rain gear (I use mountain hardwear epic jacket and pants b/c doubles as wind shell in the morning or evening)
-Pot to boil water (I like the GSI double boiler for solo or pair)
-Stove (I like the MSR Windpro for non-freezing trips)
-Fuel
-Lexan bowl and utensils if you are not eating out of the pot or bags
-2x headlamps (I like the Petzl Tikka models)
-1 set extra batteries
-Extra zip lock baggies
-Day/fanny pack if you are setting up a base camp
-GPS + batteries
-Cell phone (turned off and placed in baggy) or radio that rangers monitor
-Topo maps and compass that you know how to use
-Toilet paper
-Small bottle of Dr. Bronner's peppermint soap for self and dishes
-1/2 non-scratch scub pad
-Foldable sink (if you are base camping)
-Toilet paper
-Sunscreen
-Toothbrush and paste
-2 pairs lightweight convertible paints
-2 long sleeve shirts
-1 T-Shirt
-1 pair of socks for every 3 days
-1 pair of sock liners per day (can be washed)
-Sandals for camp
-Wide brim hat (well ventilated)
-Underwear per your taste
-Parachute cord
-20-30 feet of duct tape for repairs
-small sewing kit
-First aid kit (ibuprofen, benedryl, ant-diarrheal)
-Hand sanitizer
-Lighter and water proof matches
-Candle or small block of wax for starting fire in emergency
-Someone who knows wilderness first-aid and CPR
-Make sure you find out if anyone is diabetic or allergic to bees/wasps before the trip so everyone will know what to do if they have issues
-Stuff sacks to organize gear

Diet is a another issue. I like some of these recipes: http://www.freezerbagcooking.com/

Take heed of other's flash flood warnings. Might be nice for someone to pack in a small weather radio.

Sounds like a blast. Have fun!

hydration pack - 04-23-2007, 02:03 PM

The end of April can already be getting pretty warm down there. Most other items have been mentioned already, but one thing I like a lot for hiking is one of those hydration packs that has a 100 oz. bladder and hose for water. Instead of carrying water in bottles, these work great. You can drink while walking, instead of taking your gear off to get to a bottle, and they hold enough for a whole day in hot weather, and carry very comfortably. If you've already got a pack, you can just get a bladder in a sleeve to add to your pack.

I would suggest a small amout of duct tape for emergencies. Duct tape can be used to stop blisters, repair poles and pack frames, cover holes in clothing and other equipment.
