weired IE problem - 04-27-2007, 12:14 AM

i reverted back to IE 6 from IE 7 some time ago. I typically dont use IE as I prefer other browsers, like firefox, opera and recently trying sea monkey.

however i have noticed that when i try to use IE to go to a web page either by hand typing the url or using a book mark, it always opens the page in Firefox

when in firefox i can right click on a page and chose to open it in IE and it does. however when i click a link in that page it throws me back to firefox.

guess i could install IE7 to see if that fixes it, but not sure if this is a known problem or not

Ok, I found the problem. Have not fixed it since Im not at home.

the problem comes from using IE7 Beta1 in an unsupported side-by-side configuration with a version of IE6.

This is sorta what I had, so I will ahve to see if the deletion of a registry entry will fix it.

Sounds like Firefox is set to default browser. I have seen how to change it ,but can't remember how. You could try uninstalling the IE plugin for Firefox.
