I remember selling one of my medium format enlargers once to a novice. I mentioned that I put two pieces of carboard on the sides to prevent light leaks and he almost did not buy it because he thought it was defective. The photography instructor he had brought with him to check out the equipment had to tell him that it was normal. Many moons ago...
