I personally like the dolphins draft. Although I was shocked the 'fins did not take Okoye instead of Ginn @ #9. Beck is going to be the "sleeper" hit for the 'fins.

Damn Patriots get stronger by getting Randy Moss for "cheap."

What are your thoughts on the draft?

Personally, I thought the Dolphins did a pretty poor job overall. Its being reported today on ESPN.com that Ginn might not be ready for training camp due to injury. The grades by fan vote show 69% of Dolphins fans gave them either a D or F grade, with 42% being the F. Only the Iggles and I think Green Bay scored lower. Not taking your next franchise QB with Brady Quinn was puzzling. The message boards for the Fins were not a nice place Saturday night.

I do like what the dang Patriots did publicly on the Moss trade. They came out and said at the outset that his first problem with the team will be his last problem, i.e. outright released. Now for a 4th round pick that is an incredible pick-up for them.

Cleveland looks to have done very well with their two first rounders on Saturday. Now that being said, I think Dallas did better by getting that extra first round pick from them in 2008. Cleveland has a few good pieces fit into their puzzle, but in that tough conference they are still going to struggle. Dallas is in all likelyhood looking at a top five pick in next year's draft which could very well net them the #1 overall by packaging their two first round picks together.

Overall, it was a pretty shallow draft. After the third round there were a lot of Who Dat's being picked.

I'll give props to Matt Millen for not listening to the critics and picking up ANOTHER wide receiver in the first round. Calvin looks like a the player every team wants on their roster.

Oakland did what everyone expected, but how good is Mr. Russel going to be when he has no line blocking for him?

I would be looking out for Arizona as well. They did well I think and might move into the upper half of NFL teams either this or next season.

Thank you, that is all.

Jeff, I am the minority in the 'fins community. I did not believe the hype on Quinn. I think Quinn was a made up "stud" from a great PR machine.

Ginn WILL not be ready for camp, but it gives the 'fins another vertical threat to spread the defense. Look for Trent Green to hit RB's and TE's in the soft middle with Speedsters like Ginn and Chambers stretching the D, a Cam Cameron Offense in action.

Agree with you it was a shallow draft...Okoye is going to be more of a beast in the long run over Williams...glad Texans got him instead of us.

I am looking forward to watching my fins play the Texans here in Reliant!

i agree the boys did great pickin up another 1 next year with a rookie qb the browns could very well end up with the first overall and theres a rb up at arkansas i sure would like to see with a star on his helmet.

Did anyone hear the story on Okoye ? he came to the united states at 11 they tested him to see what grade he would go in, he tested NINTH grade at 11 lol. At 15 he was offered a scholarship to Harvard, he turned it down to play football, at 18 he had his degree in psycology already lol smart kid

Yup, Okoye is a smart kid, and now he will have a chance to do the thing that society values most -- cripple opposing quarterbacks.
