You should have charged interest!

Ya, sometimes it seems to makes no sense, until the company factors in the good will (debatable), but more importantly, the cost avoidance of having to take a call at the call center asking for that refund. Happens alot with the elderly. They have plenty of time and like to chat...

Don't spend it all in one place!

Once had a place offer "20 free 4x6 prints". They credited your account until it was gone and you did not have to use them at the same time.

So over time (i tend to order 1-3 at a time....), I used up the 20 free, but on the last order used #17 thru 21.... well, #21 wasn't free, and since I had been placing them on a credit card to enable me to get the 20 free, $0.22 got placed on my credit card account. Since I rarely used that card, it languished until the statement was sent, whereupon I received the bill (with a 37cent stamp) for $0.22....which required a check to be written and mailed with yet another 37c stamp.....

So the accountant (aka wife) called and asked if it could somehow be rolled over to next month's statement. Well, yes it could, but interest would apply, and the minimum charge was $5.

What to do, what to do......

The credit card lady (a lady in every sense of the term) said she would simply void the charge (the developer had already been paid) and drop the non-issue.

We all had a good laugh, I vowed to the accountant never to use plastic for things under $5 ever, ever, ever.....

So when I find myself short of cash to pay for a single 19cent print....( yes, I do this often)I pick up a $5 bouquet of flowers for the accountant, and put the whole thing on plastic....

See? I ain't as stupid as I look!

With my one GoDaddy domain, I might get enough to pay for an ice cream cone at Wendy's. In fifty years or so.
