Remote email? - 05-04-2007, 11:03 AM

At home I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003 as my email cleint. I have two email address, my personal Road Runner email and my business email. My business email account is also fowarded to my Yahoo account. This allows me to check my business mail throughout the day while at work? To practice good customer service I would love to relpy to these emails as soon I read them. Currently I have to wait until I get home and use Microsoft Outlook to respond. I do not want to appear unproffesional and replying using Yahoo, Hotmail, or AOL accounts.

Other remote desktop, is there another way?

Road Runner email has a remote client. Contact them to set it up, I use it all the time. it "comes" from your .RR address.

Get a Blackberry with Cingular service. You can receive e-mails from both your personal and your business accounts and you can reply or send out new e-mails from either account. You can customize the sign-off or you can have it say..."sent from my Blackberry" to let people know what a hard working, dedicated person you are answering e-mails in the middle of the night, etc... or what a yuppie show off you are (depending on their interpretation.)

You can also use it as your cell phone (only one thing to carry around) and you can access internet - not lightning fast, but a lot better than the IPAQ I had.

I'm sure other carriers have similar deals and I'm not affiliated with Cingular or anything. I just use Cingular so I know it works well in the Houston area.

where do you get your Business email address from?

is it your hosting domain? or is is through road runner?

either way you should be able to access either from the web and reply accordingly.

Pika says that he will sell you some post it notes that you can stick on your emails with a different domain.

But I wouldn't trust him if I were you.

Seriously though, does yahoo not offer addess masking? B/c if not it sucks. Jump ship to Gmail and do yo own thing the way you wan'na. All you need to do is "confirm" the address you use to mask is yours by replying to an email.

Pika says he will sell you a invite. Again, I wouldn't trust him.

Prophet out.
