So...my boss comes over and lets me know that the web dept. has finally decided to play with the big boys and not buy another Panasonic Soccer Mom camera for our web video. Instead.... we're getting a Canon GL2. Woot. Sure, I know that they're coming out with a newer model and there are some awesome HD cameras out there...but our paper is small and behind the times so this is a big step for us. Hopes....Dashed. Apparently...our IT director didn't check into the store first, and it's one of those electronics store scam places. So no cool Canon GL2 for us. Yeah Pika and I want a GL2 way BAD! Think of all the ... um ... projects we could do with a piece of equipment like that! Okay...so I'm told that we can probably spring $700-900 for a new soccermom video camera.
