How long to cook corn dogs? - 05-04-2007, 04:19 PM

Jeez, I'm kind of embarrassed to post this but my wife is out of town and there are no directions on the bag. I have a bag of corn dogs from Costco and I'm unsure how long I should cook them or at what temp. Any ideas out there. Yes, I tried google first. I don't want to bother the wife while she is on her scrap booking retreat.

TIA,
Rusty

Ummmm.... you talking about a regular oven, or are you gonna nuke 'em?

If it's a regular oven I would probably pre-heat to something like 400 and cook them for about 10 minutes.

Thanks. I'm going to heat them in the regular oven. Will give it a shot. I can always tell the guys that they are smoke bombs if it does not work out.

Oh bull ! It's not that you don't want to bother her, you just don't want to let her know you don't know how to cook them. Don't worrry, been there myself. No way will i ever admit to my wife that I can't cook my own meals

They are in the oven.

John, I am actually a very good cook. I cook most of the evening meals. I just never cook the fast food stuff. Thai, Chinese, Indian, or even good ol southern dutch oven cooking and I have no issues. I probably have one of the only non-asian three y.o. kids in Fort Worth who likes curry.

This was a funny thread. I love it when people can cook fine cuisine, but can't figure out how to cook a corn dog. It makes me think there's hope for me yet! ;o)

I thought you could only cook corn dogs in the microwave??? They actually turn out in the oven?? Or maybe there is a reason he is not responding???

20 minutes at 375 degrees + 1 minute in the microwave b/c they are still frozen. No pics, they were devoured quickly. Rather disgusting until washed down with a Boston Ale.
