Upcoming trip to Santa Fe - 05-11-2007, 03:38 PM

I'm going to New Mexico the middle of June. We'll start out in Santa Fe and then head down to White Sands. Somewhere in there we're going to see some petroglyphs and cave dwellings. Anyone know of a "don't miss" attraction or location to take pictures? I've never been to the area. I know the plans include seeing the Loretta Chapel and the Palace of the Governors.

Thanks!

Take a side trip up to Taos for some nice extra scenery.

On the way down to Whitesands you'll go through Albuquerque. Just outside ABQ is a town called Rio Rancho where there is a Petroglyph park (actually it's in 2 'parts'). Nice place.

Aldo go to "Old Town" ABQ. The church is cool.

Taos is a very good idea. Very pretty up there. Go to the Bandelier National Monument if you want to see cave dwellings. http://www.nps.gov/band Cool area.

A favorite thing of mine that I did while in Santa Fe was go down the old part of town and photograph doors and windows. That was so cool. You will have so much fun. So much to photograph and so little time.
