Steady updates are also a rule for Rebekka Guoleifsdottir, arguably the most popular contributor to Flickr. The 28-year-old art-school student in Reykjavik, Iceland, typically adds two or three new pictures a week, for a total of about 750. Her work has been viewed more than three million times, and her popularity on the site led to a contract with Toyota Motor Corp. to provide photography for a local marketing campaign.
Here's a link to her Flickr site:

And blog:

She really has that certain something that makes her work stand out.

Yeah, it's a shame.

Started watching the Flickr thread early yesterday when it broke, then Flickr censored it.

Also been watching the two threads on Thomas Hawk about it:

This combined with the JPGMag mess made for an interesting day yesterday and I imagine it will continue today. One thing is for sure, photographers are passionate.

I had no idea about all of that. I had come across her in the other article I posted, but it made no mention of that. It was about how people become popular on the 'net via YouTube and Flickr.

I was looking at her photo's and thought the horse one's looked very familiar. Apparently, she's friends with "stuckincustoms" on flickr who happens to be a local Austin guy and HDR guru. I like her work and need to see more of it....

How you doin'?

I'm confused...are pics posted on Flickr usually big enough to be blown up and sold as posters or whatever?

Hi Allen,

Yes, I've been checking her photos out for about a year. I really enjoyed her Multiplicity series. Check out her blog at http://www.rebekkagudleifs.com/blog/

Best regards,
