I’m just sitting at lunch and listening to this new Linkin Park Album. It doesn’t even sound like them. When they said they were changing styles, it was an understatement. It’s all over the place as far as genre’s go. It’s f'in amazing!

Yep, uploaded this to my iPod this morning. Sounds just like Fort Minor (the Shinoda/Jay-Z produced album).

Good stuff so far....

When I heard it I thought it was a bad joke. Little did I realize it was just bad.

Just ordered a new MP3 player for myself (after really digging my wife's new one). I'll try the album out on that and see if I like it. So far LP has had a few songs I liked, a few I thought were garbage, and a few that was just repeat drivel - but the same can be said of any group, even the gods of rock Rush (reviewed their new album here: http://www.uebelhart.net/2007/05/02/...snakes-arrows/ )

Dang, I'll have to pick up their new album. I always thought they were way more versatile than their previous albums showed after seeing them live....

Have not heard it yet, but did see them on SNL last Saturday...was not impressed. I refer to this phenomena as the Wussification of Rock. Staind did the same thing, Dysfunction rocked, but 14 Shades Of Grey sucked hard! (Just did a search and found out that they released a new one in '05 called Chapter V, but have not heard it yet, so I will reserve judgment on that one for now)

If you are gonna be a Rock/Metal band, then stay that way. Stop the Wussification...

Chapter V is more of 14 Shades of Grey. But not as good. Only a couple stand out songs. I really liked 14 Shades of Grey myself, and Dysfunction both.

Well, when I listen to music regularly, I tended to lean toward the ear-bleeding (Static X, Soil, etc.) type of music...quite the metal head for a 40 year old! But, I stopped listening to new music about a year or two ago because it was all, in my opinion, turning into really bad music...lacking in originality and overall unimaginative. I turned to talk radio and listening to Old Time Radio. You can't beat the Jack Benny Show, Lux Radio Theater (radio versions of popular movies of the time often starring the original stars from the movie) or the old Sci-Fi series X-Minus One!

I guess I am officially old now....

I loved LP's older stuff. This album is a different animal that I can't say I love. Maybe two songs off the whole album is worthy of purchase from iTunes.

How you doin'?
