Document Printer - 05-20-2007, 02:18 PM

im looking for a Color Document printer that can print low res photos occasionally.

my wife has been printing more and more of her stuff at home and our printer is ok, but not doing as well as I would like.

We are using an old (i mean old) Epson Stylus Photo 750. I dont print any photos on this a at all and dont need a high quality photo printer.

just looking for something that will print graphics (pie charts book covers etc...) and text really nice. I would prefer a multi tank ink system (5 or 6 seperate ink color tanks) as she tends to print a lot of blue at one time or a lot of yellow at one time, and its a pain to replace a whole tank just because the blue is gone.

any ideas

James

You have a number of choices. My kids use a Brother multifunction (scan, copy, print, fax) unit that uses 3 color and 1 black inks to print. It works well and cost $140. It is already network ready and in fact enables faxing directly from the computer. Kids really love it.

thanks a network ready printer would be great. I use "print sharing" so the wife can print to the printer attached to my computer, but my PC has to be turned on for that to work.
