Need fireplace doors - 05-20-2007, 07:59 PM

The fireplace in my home is one of those metal, in-the-wall types with a pre-installed screen and a stove pipe chimney. I need to find some doors that hopefully will fit the pre-drilled holes in the frame. When I bought house 15 years ago, the salesman told me that I should be able to find doors for it anywhere. I haven't had much success with that. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

any idea who the manufacturer of the insert is? I doubt very seriously I could find out mine.

HD, Lowes, BBQ's Galore (yeah they sell fireplace stuff).

Take a digital picture with you to the store, you should be able to do that, given where you are posting.

(you might measure the opening too, maybe be willing to drill some new holes).

Thanks, Jerry. I have no idea as to the manufacturer, and the local stores you mentioned don't carry anything this time of year. BBQs Galore sells them, but they're priced way out of my range ($500+). I just want a simple glass door unit, not stained glass! LOL

There's a shop on I-35 in Burleson. I can't think of the name of it right now but they sell all kinds year around. I'll try to get some info for you.

Make sure you take measurements. A picture will not show the scale to the salesman. Speaking from experience. Bob

Give these people a call John.

www.leonardsstoneandfireplace.com

505 S Burleson Blvd

(817) 293-2204

I think the website is just a link to a supplier so I'd call to get a better idea of what they have in stock.
