Don't you love it when the doorbell rings?  Then, the box unfolds to reveal the beast within (orchestral score, heavy on the timpani):  Now my 70-200 has a big brother to look after it!   The 300 is broken; AF and MF are inoperative. Yes, I did know that when I bought it!  I'll be shipping it to Midstate Camera Repair in RI tomorrow to see how much a repair is - hopefully it's as simple as a disconnected wire, though it could be the entire USM motor system burned out. (Ouch.)  --Daniel |
