The actor who played Jethro (he will be 70 this year ) on the Beverly Hillbillies or his father?

BTW his father dated Jeane Harlow while Jethro dated Sharon Tate!

So who is/was more famous? The WORLD Heavy Weight Boxing Champ and also a guy who ticked off Hitler or his son who played a bumbling 00 spy goof on one of TV's most popular shows of the 1960's?

His dad actually acted in several movies but had passed on before the BHB's came about, man what sort of ratings would one of those episodes have had if his dad did a guest appearance as himself? You know them hillfolks would have known the Heavy Weight Boxing Champ!

Can't go too far on the fathers reputation. I can't recall too many other appearances than in the Hillbillies series.

Max Jr. For sure. He is still around in reruns. Max Sr wasn't even very well remembered when Jr started playing Jethro in the Hillbilly's.

Max Jr went quickly behind the camera, and worked there for many many years. A very successful career that wasn't necessarily in the limelight of the hoards of Entertainment Tonight groupies.

Dad was one of the last bare-knuckled boxers.

I doubt either would consider themselves in any sort of competition with the other. Much the same as most normal Father-Son relationships.
