Over the wekend we had some rain and hail. My truck was only about 20 feet away and during the heavy downpour the truck was just barely visible.
So I reached for my Canon A310 (P&S) and it died. Or rather the CCD died. Missed a great shot.
I saw a thread on another forum about Canon CCD Malfunction. It had a link which gave a phone number and customer service link. The Notice said that regardless of warranty status Canon would repair and pay shipping to/from for the cameras listed in the notice.
I sent an email yesterday. Today after work I got an email from Canon appologizing for the inconvienence. They're sending me a shipping label.
If this continues through the whole process then this is great customer service.
