oh the A$$holes in this world!

ok just gotta vent....i got hit today...some jerk decided to hit me (not my car but my body) with his car today....i'm getting something from a friend on kirby today and this guy decides i should not have my "ni**er a$$ in the road" as he put it and decides he would first hit me with his car going forward, then back up and pin me between his car and my friends car (i'm a little bruised, ego bruised, side a little sore now, but i'm really more pissed than anything that jerks like this are still around to be the litter to humanity), to make it real good he then decides to roll his window down and make his special little comment...well when i started to push his car he took off and ran a stop sign to get away (and did i mention he had to have been in his late 60s early 70s)....now the good part....while waiting on hpd to arrive (which btw was only 10 minutes ) i figured it's time to go to work...i skiptrace and do background checks for a living so i got his license plate, pulled his information and started my file...i have a number of attorneys as clients so i made a couple of worthwhile calls....i now have a police report with a starting charge of aggravated assault and while i wait for the report to become official - good old 5-7 day waiting period for it to get into the system - i get to stew and brew in frustration....one thing for sure...i've grown as a person...the nearly 40 year old me is going to go the police and lawyer route, but there was a time man oh man....

ok venting is over now...back to the regurlarly scheduled programming

thanks harris and cindy...i'm glad i'm not in the hospital either and i'm going to take it as far as i can take it with the legal system....what bothered me the most is that i would have usually had my son with me at that time and would have had him get the cd from my friend but i had just dropped him off at his friends house so i'm thankful for that but it's one of those "what would i have done if he did it to my son" kinda things....oh well trying to let it go for now

I hate that there are still ignorant people going around. I hope that my kids, who are multi-racial, never have to experience this while they grow up! My husband, unfortunately, experiences something at least once a year :(

thanks all...i do have a witness and his info is in the police report also...and i did wanna knock the sh...i mean stuffing out of that guy but the way he had me pinned i couldn't and i guess it's a good thing cause now i get to be the law abiding citizen and press charges ...what's funny is after the guy left we looked at each other and both said "man if this was a few years ago i would have..." almost at the same time and then started laughing...i guess you mellow as you get older....now the real crime in all of this is two photographers at the scene of a crime without a camera....now that's sad

First of all I'm glad to hear you're mostly OK - things could have been a lot worse. Second, I'm glad to hear you're taking the high road. I really hope that SOB that did this to you ends up paying you and he also spends a long time in prison.
