Ok, just a pet peeve here, I know many models get boob jobs, but looking at them from my perspective, is that no matter what you do to them, they just look fake. To me, at least, it detracts from the beauty of the model. I understand the pressure to get "bigger ones", I had a friend who had to get them in order to get ahead in LA in the movie/Ad industry, but I still think that you cannot photoshop them enough to make them look other than what they are: fake. And even with the best surgery, in nudes, you can still see the scar.

Some of them look really fake, I would have to agree. But I have seen some really good boob jobs come through our studio too. Some of these girls, you'd never know unless you asked them. Case in point, check out this link (warning - nude) : http://www.rjphoto.net/THI/CR10.jpg

I never could stand fake boobs and I've never understood the attraction in big boobed women. I've seen a lot of small chested women that looked mighty fine. But to me the womans most attractive feature other than her personallity is her face... especially the eyes. Several years back I used to go to gentlemens clubs and the dancers were tripped out because I was always staring at their faces instead of the boobs or butt.

See, I looked at that photo, and its lovely, but my first thought was: "Boob job". The ones that drive me up the wall are the ones that are round, perfectly, un-naturally round and stretch the skin (painful to look at) between the breasts. Quote: |

Ummmm.... women don't always get them for reasons of vanity. I've known a couple of women that are cancer survivors who had had masectomy's. They had it done just to look normal again.
A woman's body is hers to do with as she pleases and as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else I say live and let live.

I vote no. I don't like them. I can understand someone getting them after a masectomy, it wouldn't make a bit of difference to me but I can understand why they would want to be as normal as possible. But not just to make their clothes fit better. If clothes fitting right were important to me I would weigh 50 pounds less and be wearing elevator shoes.
I also don't thnk orthodontics are always needed unless your teeth are really wrong. I had a friend who couldn't chew correctly due to a severe underbite. For him braces were needed. But probably 75% of them are unnecessary.
On a related "esthetic surgery" note- I'm blind in one eye and I've got cataracts forming on both. When it gets bad enough that I need surgery I think I will only have one eye done. That way the blind eye can look nice and creepy.

No Murph, I don't think you should get them. Was that the question?

Just remember that not all plastic/cosmetic surgery involving breasts has to do with suffing them with implants;)
I've watched quite a few episodes of "Plastic Surgery" on the Discovery health channel (I think it is...) There is a lot of women who have breast implants and breast surgery done for reasons that have more to do with their overall appearance and physical well being. I remember this one lady who had very asymetrical breasts, one was a B or C cup the other was tripple D. One breast was enlarged, the other one was reduced to make them even. A lady friend of ours from church had a breast reduction surgery done couple of years ago. Her neck and shoulders were killing her and she was heading for some major problems with her neck. They took several pounds off her breasts and now she feels fine.
Best regards, | | | |

I am not commenting on the medical aspects of them, I just think that the poorly done ones, of which the owners are so proud, detract from an otherwise attractive photograph of a woman. And again the huge round ones that stretch the skin between the breasts drive me up the wall because they are so obviously a fake. Funny story involving implants: A fellow investigator had a lady victim in his office taking her statement, and she kept asking him if he wanted to see her "new" breasts. He finally had to cut the statement short, and tell her he would call her in two weeks with an update. :D

My theory is that most boob jobs are done and designed to look good while the woman is wearing clothes.... I don't think any boob job looks right when she is nude.

Well I am glad to see that there are some men in the world that are ok with women being small. However, there is too much pressure in this world on being close to perfect (thank you Hollywood!), but men are to blame too.
My friends have been going under the knife alot lately and not once did their boyfriends or husbands fight them about it. And to put my business out there, I have thought about it too and spoke with my boyfriend about it and yeah he says what I have is fine, but it never hurts to go bigger.
But, most importantly, I think when a women is uncomfortable with a part of her body and she can improve it, then why not. There is nothing wrong with wanting to feel more comfortable, confident, and beautiful in your own skin.
