My shootin' eye is hosed! - 06-04-2007, 10:48 AM

Sorry for the lousy picture, but I'm having trouble focusing today. Woke up yesterday, and my right eye was bothering me. It got worse last night, and this is how it looks today. The eye doctor said it's not "pink eye" or allergies. There is something causing some kind of inflammation in the white cells(?)...or something like that. She put me on some antibiotic steroid eyedrops for the next five days. Have to go back for a follow up on Friday. This bites the big one.

wow - interesting. my kid had this several times while at college, and when she got home, both eyes were inflamed and even redder than yours are.

she was on drops, creams, and then a different kind of drops for over 2 weeks, some of the drops had to be taken every hour. she had ulcerations on her corneas as well. she just got cleared this past saturday.

the doc surmised it was from the sinuses leaking gunk back into her tear ducts - and without treating the sinus/upper respiratory symptoms, this scenario would keep repeating itself. which it did..the whole time she was at college this past year.

hope you figure it out and things get better. use warm compresses too - makes it feel better if nothing else.

LOL. Please do. And since I need to learn how to do that, I would appreciate it if you would post the exact process you use.

Tobradex is good stuff - of course, I'm biased. I work for Alcon. But really, it is good stuff. Works for a variety of eye problems, as well as ear infections. Hope it clears up soon. That looks really painful.

Tobradex didn't work for me. My eye is still having issues. Been on that for quite awhile and antibiotics, but my problem is different from yours.

Scott, sorry David, but that was funny.
