The Urban Chicken Movement ... - 06-06-2007, 07:32 AM

I didn't even know there was such a thing. Apparently there seems to be some amount of momentum. There is even an article at WikiHow.com on the matter.

I can see it now. In 30 years urban based sitcoms will all have replaced the requisite "cant sleep because the dog was barking" episode with "couldn't sleep because the chicken was ... whatever chickens do".

But hey, I'm the idiot that keeps horses in the greater Houston area. So what do I know?

Prophet out.

It's a marketing ploy from Chick-fil-A.

I actually had a problem with neighbors and their stupid rooster crowing at 5 in the morning (you could set your clock by this thing).

Well after about 2 weeks I had finally had enough of that damn rooster. It seems that one morning someone (sniper), I won't mention any names, had taken a shot at it with a .22 lmao!

Chickens & roosters don't belong in the city!

being the farm boy that I once was....I would be fine with some chickens if I lived in the city. But my wife not let me kill them to eat...because they would be pets to her.

But I live in the county, and the last thing I want to be again is a farm boy.....that stuff got old!

But discharging a firearm with a mile of range is perfectly acceptable and something to laugh about?

I actually have 2 pet chickens in my backyard, I live in Garland. And no they are not roosters and they rarely make any noise. :-)
