I feel bad for the guy but why would someone lay an expensive piece of equipment down ungaurded? Thieves are everywhere, a friend who is a cop had his wallet stolen while he was at work in the police station! The crooks are not suppose to be any where near the area he was in but the wallet was still stolen. Someone stole my sons Nintindo DS Lite whike he was at McDonalds a few weeks ago. He had it in a zipper case that was hanging around his neck. He played a few video games and when he went to take the game out so him and a friend could hook up to their WiFi or whatever it was gone. Someone unzipped it while he was playing a game without him knowing it. If I could catch the low life I would beat him until his mother couldn't ID him. I gave that game to him for Christmas last year and he loved it, he cam home upset and went to his room about to cry. I've got him another one ordered which he doesn't know about yet. When I go out in public I very rarely lay my camera down and if I do the strap is around my wrist and I'm constantly checking it. Bet he will be more careful next time.

Funny.

Actually, I thought one of the guys in the video looked like Scott Watters (Just a resemblance--I'm sure Scott wouldn't do something like that)

I know what you mean, but it can be tough at weddings. I usually make friends with the DJ and leave extra stuff under one of his consoles, if it seems safe there.

The only solution when working alone is good insurance, I'm afraid.
