Need some spotters to help me out. - 06-17-2007, 06:21 PM

Ok this has nothing to do with photography but since this site has members from all over Texas ,and even some other states, I figured someone could help me out. I'm trying to find a project car for an engine I have setting in my shop, a 351w bored and stroked to a 427. I want to find something like a 64-65 Falcon, A 64 Galaxy, some type of early Fairlane, a 65-70 Mustang fastback, or a 65-68 Mustang coupe. It doesn't have to be running and rust is ok as long as I don't have to replace every panel on the car. If anyone knows of one setting in a pasture or in a backyard somewhere let me know and as soon as I'm over this flu I'll go look at it. We bought my son a 97 ford regular cab a few months ago for him a project and hopefully we will have it finished when he gets old enough to drive. So far we have narrowed the rear end, intalled airbags and put suicide doors on it. Depending on how drives he might get the old 392 hemi I have setting in the barn to go in it. Working on his truck has made me want to find one for my engine so if anyone knows of one or another intresting car let me know. Thanks everyone.

Nobody knows of any old cars setting around in a pasture? I've been watching Ebay but everyone thinks their car is made of gold since Gone in 60 sec came out. Every Mustang you see on there says Elenore clone, some of them are not even Mustangs! I don't mind paying the price as long as the car is worth what they are asking.

What about an old Mercury Marauder? I'll do some looking on the Marauder websites I frequent.

Try www.craigslist.com. I see a few old project cars on there from time to time for reasonable prices.

how bout a nova thats cool a ford powered nova
1971 Nova-
10- point chromoly cage- Extremely nice roll cage, Front bars go threw dash, dash bar welded into car, rear bars go threw package trey, etc.
Rear shockbar for shocks or coil overs
9in. Rear end- Narrowed 3" from stock, no center section, stock axles
Car is mini tubbed and will fit a 29.5-10.5 tire
Competition Engineering 3way adjustable front shocks
Underside of car has been cleaned and painted
Subframe has been cleaned and painted
Firewall is smoothed and painted black
Front drum brakes
New Quarter Panels
Sump Cover for fuel cell already mounted in trunk
Car basically just needs to be finished (No seats or interior, no hood, no center section, no motor or tranny, stock wiring harness but out of car, minor body work, etc)
Have all the glass except front windshield but not everything is in the car.
