Both dogs have been found!!!!

both our dogs got out of the back yard some time on 6/21/07. they dug a hole under the fence and got out.

Spring Branch area (I-10 and Gessner area)

Both dogs are elderly (12+ years old)

Found "Katy" is a Chow mix
Found "Honey" is a smaller Terrier Mix

"Honey" is very shy and skittish around people, "Katy" may be standoffish but is approachable.
we have some signs up in the neighborhood to get the people going to work in the morning and my wife is making more signs to put out tomorrow.

Call 713-504-4450 for any leads

they have tags and collars

James

We received a call this morning for a sighting on one of the dogs and we did find the small dog Honey.

We are still keeping an eye out for the chow Katy.

Wow, I'm glad to hear you found one dog. I hope you find the other one soon too!

I can't imagine what your feeling...I would be beside myself if one or both my dogs got out..

thanks all, im really glad we found Honey this morning, she is slightly mentally challenged and is extremely timid around people unfamiliar to her. when my wife got the call this morning she drove just a few blocks and found her just standing in the road shivering/shaking.

Katy is a little more out going.

there is another stray/lose Chow in the neighborhood so we are getting some false calls.

I put a few more signs out this morning and put one at our vet just around the corner.

Good luck finding the last escapee!

I've had to find our's a couple of times already. Luckily they are really people friendly and both respond to their names when called (especially if you yell "Breakfast" after the name).

Make sure to check in with Animal Control regularly...you do NOT want those people picking your dog up and holding it for any amount of time! I'm really glad you Honey back but I will keep checking up to see if you recover Katy

I went to 2 animal control locations in Houston today, the one on Carr and the one on Canino (sp?) that was definatelly one of the top 10 saddest things I have experienced.

any way Katy was not at either location.

We received a few good tips this evening on where she was last seen, but due to the heavy rain and night fall we had to stop looking.

we will continue the search Saturday morning and put a few signs out further away in hopes someone has seen here further away than we think

James

James -

Your doggies look sooooooooooo sweet. I admire your persistence in looking for them. Have you checked with all the vets in your area - - even up to 10 miles out....... sometimes people will take them there, or at least let the clinics know they have them in case someone comes looking. I will see if I can round up some links for you to some other lost and found sites.

Gee, they have tags and collars - good for you. Sure hope someone recognizes that KATY is lost and picks her up.
