In the middle of taking pictures today, my D80 gave me a "CHG" message on the top display. I turned the camera off, thinking that I had filled my 2GB card that I had just started shooting with today. Maybe I was having so much fun that I had taken more pictures than I had realized-----not the case!!!!!!!! I changed the card and the "CHG" message went away, but when I shot a picture from that point forward, when I viewed the picture, the LCD was very bright and you could vaguely make out the dismal image of the shot. The camera still seemed to focus and work, other than the LCD, so I shot a few more pictures. I got home a few minutes later and checked to see if it had recorded the pictures correctly. Not that lucky-----all if them were bright lime green with a faint image in the background. Man, I am so bummed out!!!!!!!!!! I really thought my D80 would have lasted more than 6 months before having a big issue like this. I wonder how long Nikon will decide to keep my camera?
