I am willing to bet that this guy is not a photographer. I mean just to blow hundreds of dollars on shiny new something, just to be the envy of all your peers....

Definatly not a Photographer!!!!

If I shoot my way to the front of the line, would I still get the $50 bonus?

*starts thinking*

there are people willing to be paid 100 to 300 to just wait in line.

Im not sure how well this is going to work out as you have to sing a 2 year contract for the phone. you can NOT just buy the phone. and if you are an existing customer you can NOT have someone else modify your account.

gonna be a lot of hacked off people

The ad does say that the principle will show up at 5pm to switch places with the line holder.

I read somewhere that they won't insure it either. I hope anybody waiting in Dallas gets soaked with rain. The only reason I would buy one is to turn around and sell it. As far as the plan, do you have to sign the new plan as soon as you get the phone? I wouldn't think so...

It'll be like the first gen iPods: bad batteries, tons of bugs, etc.
Wait for V2, or just got Balckberry/Palm - basically the same animals - differant covers.

Yes you MUST sign a new 2 year contracted rate plan or the iphone nazzie will say "No iphone for you". No way around it. Thank Steve Jobs for that

Here is a quote from CNN....

"The San Jose-based auction company is anticipating numerous auctions of iPhones themselves. Instead of signing up for cellular service at the time of purchase, iPhone buyers sign up through Apple's iTunes online store, making the phones easier to give as gifts or resell."
