Last time I checked on the festival a couple years ago, Katrina year where they ended up moving it, they allowed NO PHOTOGRAPHY at all at the shows. (well probably a few P+S got snuck in and of course the people with PRESS/PHOTO Passes could shoot but that was supposed to be it.

Looked all over the site earlier this year, including their MySpace page, and could find nothing about photography at the shows. If they do allow DSLR's this year I may consider going but otherwise I'm not going 550 milesone way for the show.

One of my favorites is playing also - Marc Broussard. He has an AMAZING Soul/blues voice, and is the sweetest guy.

Totally different that the 2 you mentioned - but I would go to voodoofest more for the blues and zydeco that the labeled bands anyways... Pics or not

This seems to be a trend for old bands to get thier retirement in the bag. I went to the Police concert last night in Dallas and it was good. Pretty much an old farts jam session. I felt like I was in the garage listening to 55 yr old Dad and his friends relive thier youth through music. :-)
