If you move your fingers down two rows on the keyboard, your message will be much easier to read.
The question is will Transformers make up for 'Underdog'. How low have they stooped now?

saw the 8pm showing last night and I loved it.
I am not a fan of Micheal Bay's works and for the most part they've sucked. However as someone who grew up in the 80's I simply has to see Transformers. I loved them then and still love them now.
One of the biggest detractors is that while some of the names were still there, the characters were not the same. Changes made to Prime, Bumblebee, Megatron etc just to name a few. However this really has to be viewed as a relaunch of the series much like Beast Wars, Energon, Armada, etc have all been.
One thing Micheal Bay does know how to do is make big explosions and get the military to work with him. This movie packed both in with SPADES! The movie was 2 and half hours of non stop action. Bay just needs to learn that stupid slomo crap with some bs music in the background doesn't add to the movie. The love story was unnecessary and forced and did NOT fit with the movie.
If you loved Transformers as a kid go see this movie you'll love it again. They managed to tie in many of the old key lines and Peter Cullen sounds awesome as ever. Hugo Weaving as Megatron wasn't as bad as I thought he'd be and I was really shocked.
If you didn't love Transformers as a kid, or didn't watch them...go see this movie. the eye candy is exceptional and the scenes of the new Camaro are worth the price of admission alone.
Best movie I've seen so far this year.
Inudstrial Light and Magic really worked some great magic with this one

Have you guys seen the trailer for "Black Sheep"?
That could be the sleeper of the summer. I LOL'ed. ("the violence of the lambs"--that killed me.)

It does rock! Couple of quite sexy cars.. oh Bumblebee "I'd like to ride you" in 2009 and yes ILM, Asylum, and Dreamworks all did great jobs with the rendering
also Scott's right...Ratatoullie is another great one as well!

the one thing that gets me on the movie is that you have a car or whatever transform into something twice as big as what it started out to be. to me that killed that toys that we used to have and the cartoons. I always thought that it was good how they kept scale in the cartoons and books and even the toys back in the 80's... but still, I am going to see the flick.

Overall the movie was incredible: Great action, incredible effects, and enjoyable characters.
The only things I didn't like about the movie were the profanity and the juvenile sex jokes. I know the rating is PG-13 BUT it is Transformers, which is primarily a kids' show. Yes, I know I may seem like a prude but it wasn't necessary and the movie wouldn't have been less enjoyable without it. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
