A little insight for ya'll. I have to go through confined space rescue training for work, which has heavy emphasis on exposure to different gasses. The first thing they teach you is that if you see someone passed out, don't just run in to help. We had a very similar incident about ten years ago where 4 people died from H2S exposure in a pit. Only one guy was originally in the hole and the others went in to help.
