Fastest? One or two minutes? Nah, that's not fast. Actually a much faster way has been invented. It might even be safer - the jury is still out on that. You can cook a hot dog in about 10 seconds in a microwave. Okay, okay, it's not nearly as much fun.

If you guys have an old fashion stick arc welder you can easily test this out. Sorry, I don't know what volts and amps to use<bg>

Hotdogs are already cooked, so the 'required' cooking time is 0 seconds.

Years ago (man I hate to say that) they used to sell a hot dog cooker that did the same thing. It cooked several at a time and dogs plugged in like batteries in a charger. I don't think that there was anything inside except for the 110v wires from the wall.
