Something is wrong at DELL !

Yesterday 7/5, I decided to order a P&S from Dell.
I put the order in before noon.
Estimated ship time 7/9
Estimated delivery 7/13

It arrived TODAY 7/6 !! Somebody alert the media !

Damn them... Send it back and tell them not to deliver it till next Friday as promised. The nerve of them.

It did come from Coppell, Tx.
I'm thinking that I'd better not open the package because
if there is something wrong and I need to send it back, how can I do that.
It will get there before it leaves ?? Have I discovered some Dell secret to time travel ?

Congrats Tom. I'm not having anything like that happen when ordering a laptop. It almost seems like they don't really want to sell laptops and all this time I thought they were a computer company. On the other hand I did get that kind of service when switching out a monitor. I agree, sometthing is definately wrong at Dell.

Funny you should mention this...I ordered a new pc on June 28th and it told me when I ordered it that estimated ship date would be 7/8 then after I placed the order I got an email that gave me an estimated ship date of 7/26!!!!!!! I called them and they couldn't tell me anything other than to say "some times those dates are wrong" but they wouldn't commit to which one was wrong.

Guess I'll find out sooner or later.

cool... I had the same thing happen.

when i got my 20" wide screen monitor I ordered it at 3:30 pm on a Monday afternoon and it was delivered to my house at 9:30 am the next day. I actually got the delivery notice from DHL before Dell sent me the shipping confirmation #

Im kinda mad because I payed for 3 day shipping and got it in less than 24 hours.

anyway some problems are ok to have

Every time I order from Dell and something is in stock.. I get it the next day.. Of course the dang shipping company leaves on the door step or worse on the wrong door step a couple of blocks away. Dell is fine... DHL/Airborne Express BLOWS. But it is nice to get it next day. I have ordered a bunch of LCDs and probably 4 or 5 laptops.. The laptops I got within the week.. LCDs, next day... Canon lenses next day... Nice

Always go for the free shipping if it's available. If you're in TX and it's in stock.. you'll get it next day 9 times out of 10. That has been my experience on a bunch of purchases.
