Question http://www.all-pelican-cases-4-less.com/ - 07-09-2007, 09:52 AM

Has anyone had any experience with this website?

Their Pelican products are 50% of the cost of Pelican Products from the Pelican website. I am looking to purchase the Pelican 1640 Protector Case.

The case is 197.50 WITH foam compared to nearly 400 on other websites.

They seem to be ok. They appear to sell a lot to Law Enforcement and such. Would not expect a bait switch outfit to be at this.

you could always try calling your local production houses and seeing if they have any they want to get rid of. I work in the production industry and these places forever replace cases so if you don't mind it being a lil beat up and nicked you can get some killer deals. Just a thought.

Hmm. That's not a bad idea. I don't mind dinged up a little. It's only going to store my computer and as long as it does it's job on the inside, then I don't care what it looks like on the outside.

The problem with this idea (at least I think it might be a problem), is that replacement foam is $80. I would assume I would have to get a new set because the foam inside will have been customized to what they were transporting before. Unless I can get the case for $50 or less, then it doesn't really save me much and I would have a new case.

Thanks John. This gives me a little greater peace of mind. I will probably be ordering in the next couple of weeks after I build the computer I'm putting into it.

Can you see if you can cancel the order? If they haven't charged your card yet, then you may have a chance.

Obviously saving 50% you'll get the two cases for the price of one
