Read your *&&() post before posting it !

Why do people post messages that it appears they have never read.
I know you guys aren't all third graders, but it seems that you either can't spell, or just plain don't read your posts before you hit the send button.
I certainly can't spell every word properly, but if you can't get THE right or some simple spelling, like werd or third grate what can we do to help ?

I think it's just too much trouble to read the post before sending, or to use the convenient edit function after noticing the errors.

Maybe Ebonics is the way to go ?

If I think about it and sometimes I do, I'll use a spell checker for IE explorer.

Heck sometimes just to be funny I use a Ebonics translator to convert my messages. hehe

Actually, I do it for a lot of the bulletins I get on MySpace and then send it back to the "models". Tell them.. It's amazing how similar your original post is to the translated version.

They get a kick out of that.. Sorta.

I am really bad at spelling errors as my fingers get ahead of my brain and then the kids usually need something and I hit enter without even thinking. Sorry.

Install the Google tool bar. Spell check is just one of the nice features included in it.

Worse than spelling and grammatical errors, are when people post WITHOUT READING WHAT ANYONE ELSE HAS POSTED.


And for the record, all my posts are done using AP Style. Hehehehe

Tom, you might retitle this "TPF Pet Peeves" and let everyone vent about forum etiquette. Did I spell that correctly?? One of mine is titles like "A few from todays session" and you open the thread to find it was started last Christmas.
