well, just for tonight actually...
some A$$h-le(s) decided last night or sometime today to break into my car (which i've only had less than a month) and rip a hole out of my vehicle and take my damn car stereo!!!!
LESS THAN A FREAKIN MONTH AFTER I GET MY CAR!!!!!
This is the SECOND vandalism incident in the space of 8 months since we've been here that someone has taken stuff off or out of our vehicles.
This is getting rediculous.

Never had anything happen to me or my family here in Mesquite. Some one did break into my dad's car in the 80's and stole his brief case, and some important paper work (he's a doctor). I don't think this occoured in Mesquite though.
At least your camera wasn't in there! Hope you get everything back.

I live near Galloway/Town East.

This is getting rediculous. | Would it do any good to capture this stuff on camera? A good (lowlight) webcam and some economical software will turn it into a motion detection camera, capturing what you want it to when motion triggers it. It can let you capture everything and store stills/video/etc on your computer and send it to the 'net on your web space. Might be worth a look.
From SupervisionCam web site: "Supports a large range of cameras and capture boards: USB video cams, analog cameras connected to Windows capture devices (like TV-board), multi-channel capture devices with WDM drivers, DV camcorders with Fire wire (IEEE 1394) interface, network surveillance cameras with integrated web server and more" http://www.supervisioncam.com

It's becoming a fact of life...unfortunately.
Try living in NYC or surrounding areas. Grew up there and in the last three years I lived there, drove in twice and had my car broken into twice. I figured the third time I'd outsmart them so I took the train in - and had my pocket picked! Mind you, I had split my money out - half in my wallet (buttoned down) and half in my side pocket. They got my side pocket - felt the hand coming out, started chasing, but could not catch up!
