Frisco Photography Event/Exhibit this Friday (7/20)

Hey Gang. If you live in the North Dallas area and have nothing going on this Friday night you might want to check out the Visual Arts Guild of Frisco's second annual photography exhibit. I copied the invitation below. They are asking for RSVPs, so if you think you'd like to go please let me know and I'll put you on the list. I believe I'll have 5 framed images in the show.

Dan, I'll add two more to the list. I doubt it'll be going much beyond 9, but there are other events going on in the area too from what I hear. I will tell you that last years event was well attended, but better publicized. Unfortunately there were not a lot of images that really spoke to me, and most were rather small. I'm hoping to be wowed this year. Now, would that be Mrs Dan?

Sorry you can't make it Joe. And yes, all 5 pieces this year are from Italy. I wish I could have submitted more. So... not paid work, but hopefully work that will be paid for!!

Marla and I had a great time. Thanks, Fran for alerting us to the event. Who can resist free munchies and wine/beer anyway. The Frisco group is open, engaging, and welcoming.

Our own Fran won first place, and here I can post her next to the winning entry. She placed 5 entires and all were captivating! Congrats and enjoy!

Well, I guess better late than never, eh, Fran?

My wife and I showed up a bit after 8:30, apparently just after the rest of the crowd showed up. We didn't get to see her winning photo in person, but she did show us a picture of it (picture of a picture) in her book! Beautiful work. Very inspirational - or quite intimidating, I'm not sure which - but motivating at least.

Nice to meet you Fran. We'll have to meet again for a shot of Tullamore Dew at the local Irish pub.

It was nice meeting you Pete and Marla! Glad you could make it. Dan and Linda showed up right after you left, so I got to meet them too. Unfortunately the party died early, so they had a long trip from Flower Mound for not much. Hope you two found that Irish Pub and a few cold pints!
